225% of the federal poverty line.
275% of the federal poverty line at redetermination.
Who skips the income test
These lanes waive or shortcut parts of the income test in Illinois — if one is you, say so on page one of the application:
- Families receiving TANF cash assistance
- Children in foster care or with an open protective-services case
- Families experiencing homelessness
- Teen parents
The co-pay
One MONTHLY family co-payment by income and family size — $1/month at or below 100% FPL, capped at 7% of family income. Shown per day for a family of 3 (monthly ÷ 21.7); other sizes differ — the state table is the authority.
Fee scale: Jul 2026 (IDEC co-payment page; 89 Ill. Adm. Code 50.320).
The gap: barred in Illinois
Illinois CCAP program manuals state site-administered providers cannot charge CCAP families the difference between their private-pay rate and the state maximum rate for regular care. (The rule for certificate/voucher providers was not separately opened.)
If a provider bills you above the state rate anyway, that charge is a finding to report — not a fee to pay.
No state maximum rate was opened in the October 2026 check.
